A man who was targeted and kidnapped at gunpoint for ransom was rescued Friday after police found him tied up in the trunk of a car that officers had chased to Hayward, police said.
Two suspects were being interviewed Friday evening. Their names were not released.
The victim,http://bikernetblog.com/wp-xml.php?group.php?id=41, whose name also was not released, was accosted Thursday in a parking lot in East Oakland and held hostage overnight in an undisclosed city outside Oakland. Police did not disclose the amount of the ransom.
Police were able to learn where the victim was being held and set up surveillance outside a home,http://miamibritish.com/layout-styles.php?serie-a-c-13.html.
About 8 a.m. Friday,http://www.hemsedalturbusser.no/postinfo.asp?fotballutstyr/7005-innendors-fotballer/, police spotted a car leaving the home and began chasing it. The car crashed on Mission Boulevard near Paradise Boulevard in Hayward.
“The victim was located in the trunk of the vehicle,” said Oakland police Lt. . “He had been bound by the suspects.”
Joshi said police did not know until after the pursuit that the victim was in the trunk.
