The player exodus from Perth Glory continues after star winger Yossouf Hersi was granted a request to be released early from his deal in order to explore other options. In the wake of the club being found to have breached the A-League salary cap, Hersi reached a mutual termination of his contract from Perth Glory despite having another season left on his deal. Fairfax Media understands the club and Hersi parted ways on Friday afternoon while the winger was on holidays in Amsterdam. Hersi was widely regarded as a star recruit for Perth Glory at the start of the season when he was lured away from Western Sydney Wanderers on a two-year-deal. However, Hersi struggled to replicate the same form in Western Australia that made him a fan favourite in Parramatta after a severe hamstring injury that restricted him to just eight league appearances this season.The former Dutch youth international made an earlier recovery than predicted but is now on the lookout for a new club as a free agent. It's not yet known whether Hersi will seek to find another club in the A-League or move abroad.
