The Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) has demanded that it should be allowed to participate in the accident and incident investigation based on its roles in flight operations.
National President of Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) Mr. Babatunde Shittu made this call in Uyo,http://www.producteursdemaregion.com/vins.php?Algeria-World-Cup-2014-Pelipaita, Akwa Ibom state during the world AIS day celebrations.
He said the role of AIS in case of accidents and incidents cannot be over emphasised in flight operations.
According to Shittu,http://www.bonus-invest.no/sibar.asp?under-armour-fotballdrakt-tottenham-hotspur-bortedrakt-2014-2015-1, every flight originates from AIS office and expected to terminate at the same office with post flights information from pilots.
He maintained that AIS was the first to call for investigation when accident or incident occurred.
Shittu called on the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA),http://www.showbusinessreport.com/wp-searches.php?u/getafe-away/, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Nigerian College of Information Technology (NCAT) for training and retraining of its AIS /ATM personnel to keep them abreast with modern day technology in the world adding that it remained critical in the changeover from manual to digital operations.

Shittu said fund has remained a challenge for actualising the set objectives of the project and noted that ICAO has given November 2016 as the deadline for the completion of the program.
