“I’ll be fine,” Curry said. “It just took me a couple of minutes to get in my rhythm.”
Curry ended up playing more than 30 minutes. After he reentered the game with 5:58 to play in the third quarter, he played the remainder of the game.
“That was a huge lift,” Barnes said.
But even with his teammates inspired by his presence, the Warriors ended up losing 128-115 and now will face Game 5 in Oakland on Wednesday night.
With the way the first two games went at Oracle, it was hard to imagine the Warriors sweeping the Rockets in Houston. But with the lopsided score of Game 3 on Saturday, it was hard to imagine the Rockets putting up the kind of fight they exhibited in Game 4.
The lack of carryover between these games just goes to show that it’s hard to predict anything in the NBA playoffs.
Except this: Seeing the Warriors moving forward without Curry is virtually impossible.
But the Warriors survived a scare. Now they want to survive the series.
