Katy Perry has no desires to talk about her ex-husband Russell Brand. According to Perry, his last text message to her was that he is filing the divorce papers.
“He hasn’t spoken to me since he texted me saying he was filing for divorce. I don’t want to talk about him — my songs will say what I need to say,” Perry told in an interview.
The “Roar” singer’s divorce took a toll on her, but she still believes in love. When asked if she has any apprehensions about falling in love, she said she doesn’t have any sort of trepidations. She revealed that she is excited about whatever comes with falling in love. The singer mentioned that she is excited about her evolution.
Perry added that she has no intentions of ending up bittersweet but she focuses towards evolving. She stated that as an artist she wants to “push people’s perception of me” and keep them “on the edge of their seats.”
She revealed that she still has the cat that she and Brand named Rusty, but she has named it Monkey. During the interview, she was asked if she is stronger from heartbreak, Perry said she is “fearless.” She added that she doesn’t wish to stay in fear as it traps her and her voices. She doesn’t want to be associated with fear because it is a “control tactic.”
Meanwhile, reported that Perry is set to release her new album in 2016, according to her manager Steven Jensen. Perry’s Prismatic world tour will end in October 2015. The singer’s last album “Prism” (2013) included No. 1 songs like “Dark Horse” and “Roar.” An official statement from Perry regarding her new album is yet to be released.
