The People s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano state has elected Alhaji Rabi u Dansharu as the new chairman of the party in the state.

Announcing the results, the former Governor of Ebonyi state, Mr Sam Egwu who supervised the election said Dansharu defeated Senator Mas ud Jibril Doguwa with 1, 109 votes as against the 458 votes won by Doguwa.

Mr. Egwu said By our party constitution and guidelines, we wish to declare Rabiu Dansharu as the elected chairman of People s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano state .

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, Alhaji Rabi u Dansharu thanked the party members for giving him the mandate to lead the party in the state, assuring that he will provide purposeful leadership.
