By Michael MoraitisThe 2015 Major League Draft is set to take place on June 8 and it s time to start getting a good idea of who the Yankees will take with their two first-round picks.

The Yanks two selections in the first round will come at No. 16 and No. 30. picked up another selection as compensation for losing David Robertson to the Chicago White Sox.
has the Yanks taking UCLA starting pitcher James Kaprielian with the No. 16 pick. Here s a scouting report courtesy of River Ave. Blues:
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 200 lbs., Kaprielian was a classic projectable high school pitcher,green bay packers baseball jerseys, and he s developed into basically the opposite of what was expected. Instead of filling out and adding velocity, he s become a much more well-rounded pitcher with the Bruins, one who throws four pitches for strikes. His fastball sits mostly 89-92 mph and he will show some 94s on occasion. The changeup is his most consistent offspeed pitch and he ll throw it in any count, to both lefties and righties. Betts is not a lock to stick at catcher long-term but it s not out of the question either. He has some tools and needs reps more than anything. If he has to move to first, the bat will play.
With the No. 30 pick, Law has the Yanks nabbing Pennsylvania right-hander Mike Nikorak. this time:
Nikorak came out this spring sporting the same 94-97 mph fastball he showed early last summer, with a free and easy delivery. Even if he loses a tick or two, the heater is still effective because it features plenty of run and sink. He shows the makings of a plus curveball at times and also flashes at least a solid changeup.
Some other first-round possibilities Law mentioned were HS OF Garrett Whitley,peyton manning jerseys fanzz, Tennessee HS RHP Donny Everett, California HS RHP Drew Finley, and Florida post-grad RHP Jacob Nix, so there are plenty of other options the Yankees could go with.
