Backbone Road travels during a mix of private land combined with Shasta-Trinity National Forests south in Shasta Lake and north related with California 299. Although marked as a forest road 34N02 on at the biblical times, much of it travels in private land. Please love landowners’ rights and do not trespass. Sunglasses Ray Ban Sale, near the start of the path. Backbone Road begins appearing in Jones Valley and correct starts climbing away from them. The pavement ends right after short distance and the freeway immediately becomes rough satisfactory to make 4WD preferable. Right after on the ridge top, the trail switches from one side inside spine to the other, crossing by going to saddles. Mount Shasta dominates the scene to the north, and Lassen Peak to the east. The trail goes across paved Sugar Pine Training camp Road, which serves as access to a state prison. You can usually travel south down the road to California 299. However, the highway is private and gain access to should not be relied upon. Special Attractions: Views of Mount Shasta and even Lassen Peak; Ridge top trek with spectacular views with your north and south. High-clearance 4WDs are preferred, though any high-clearance vehicle is acceptable. Would like a rough road surface; dirt and sand are workable but will be easily passable. One may encounter rocks up to 12 inches in diameter, a cut down road surface, and shelving roads, though these may possibly be wide enough for death or will have adequate pull-offs.
