For fans in the state of Florida, this is big news.
For the last two seasons, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers avoided blackouts by selling 85 percent of non-premium tickets for the majority of regular-season games and purchasing up remaining tickets.
Under old rules,

http://www.beder-traedrejeri.dk/export.php?VM-2014-france-blaise-matuidi-14-Hjem-tr%25C3%25B8je, which required sellouts or for teams to purchase remaining tickets within 72 hours of kickoff, fans were left in the dark.
From 2010-2012,

Like the Bucs, the Jaguars past attendance issues have been well-documented,

The 85 percent rule was enacted in 2012 but there continued to be complaints about the fairness and practicality of the rule, which was designed to fill more seats.
Other teams who have struggled in recent years with attendance and faced the threat of blackouts include the Chargers, Bengals and Bills.
There were no regular season blackouts during the 2014 season and only two in 2013.
