Budapest's total of £19.76 was less than half the price charged for a basket of drinks in seven of the other ten cities surveyed.
Prague, at £25.91, came second in the survey, while Riga, where a night out tallies £34.03, took third place.
Post Office Travel Money surveyed 10 top city break destinations to find the cost of 10 drinks on a night out
Thanks to a weak Euro, perennial party favourite Ibiza (pictured) is now more affordable than ever
And thanks to a weak Euro, Western Europe is also more affordable than ever.
Perennial party favourites, Amsterdam and Ibiza, are now relatively inexpensive night-out picks, with the cost of an evening out tallying £41.27 and £43.11, respectively.
However, in Ibiza Town, the size of your bar bill will depend on what you drink.
A gin and tonic was more expensive there than in any of the other cities and a cocktail was also among the highest priced at £7.43.
Paris, a favourite for girls' holidays abroad, came in eighth in the survey with a night out costing £47.59
Paris, which is the number one city break destination for Britons - and an especially popular choice for young women - came eighth in the survey, with a glass of champagne running £5.58 and the whole night out costing about £47.59.
But the two most expensive cities were Dublin and Barcelona.
The Spanish city was both the priciest for four drinks - such as cocktails and Southern Comfort - but also relatively inexpensive when it comes to ordering a beer or champagne.
Dublin, on the other hand, was expensive across the board, with prices for beer, lager, wine, champagne and a dry martini all among the highest in the survey.
HOW DO EUROPE'S MAJOR CITIES ADD UP? Total amount includes the cost of a bottle of beer, a bottle of lager, a glass of white wine, a glass of champagne, Southern Comfort, a 'trendy' cocktail (eg. a Cosmopolitan), gin tonic, rum Coke, scotch soda and a dry martini:
1. Budapest, Hungary - £19.76
2. Prague, Czech Republic - £25.91
3. Riga, Latvia - £34.03
4. Amsterdam, The Netherlands - £41.27
5. Ibiza, Spain - £43.11
6. Berlin, Germany - £44.38
7. Tallinn, Estonia - £46.26
8. Paris, France - £47.59
9. Barcelona, Spain - £53.42
10. Dublin, Ireland - £55.65
The most expensive was Dublin, where a night out at a pub, such as Temple Bar (pictured) will cost you £55.65
Andrew Brown of Post Office Travel Money said: 'The city break is now the king of holidays, especially among under-35s.
'Fifty per cent of them took a city break last year and one of the key reasons is the surging value of sterling, which is making European cities very cheap.
'However, air fares to Eastern Europe may cost more than to cities closer to home so it will pay to do some homework and calculate the cost of flights, accommodation and drinks before booking!'相关的主题文章:
