India’s Micromax Informatics, which made headlines after reportedly beating Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (KRX: 005930, 005935) in handset sales in the country last quarter, has pushed Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) to third spot in tablet sales.
Shipment figures released by market research firm IDC on Monday showed Micromax taking second spot for tablet sales after Samsung for the three months ended June 30. Globally, ,Kate Spade Gold, IDC said Monday, almost halving its estimate for tablet sales this year to 6.5 percent from its previous forecast.
