After two tough games in the opening weeks Burnley are sitting in the bottom two and they now face off against Manchester United at turfmoor. All be it a different Manchester United than the team that has dominated the Premier League for the last twenty years this is still a team that has spent over £100m this summer and has an array of World Class superstars. Burnley will be looking for young guns Barnes, Sordell, Ings and Arfield to be the potential outlets and goalscorers. Burnley defended resolutely against Southampton last week and were slightly unlucky to lose the game by a solitary goal.
Saturday lunchtime maybe a make or break type of game for Manchester United, I know its early in the season to be saying such alarming things but having spent £100m on players its time for Di Maria to make his debut and for United to kick start their season. An attacking five of Rooney, Van Persie, Mata, Di Maria and Herrera is going to take some stopping no matter who the opposition. It could be that on Saturday , Burnley one of the Premier League new boys get a baptism of fire from a team in need of a big win.
Louis Van Gaal will be looking for more from his side and I think we will see it on Saturday. I still dont like the odds on Untied though at 8/13 and will instead be going for the overs. United's defence has looked anything but assured in both games this season and I can see another goal being leaked at the back while at the other end I think Mata, Rooney and Di Maria may just help themselves to some goals to instill some confidence in a team that has looked decidedly shaky.
