The 10 best tech cars of 2013

2013 best cars: honorable mentionThese cars come so close to being in the top 10. They're arranged alphabetically. All have Bluetooth and USB standard or on most models, so we won't say that ten times over.
Chevrolet Cruze diesel:You get the same 50 mpg highway economy in the as the BMW 3 Series, a bit more room, a bit less passenger coddling, and $15K still in your pocket with the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel. Infotainment is solid. You don hear diesel noises inside the cockpit, barely any from the outside.
Chevrolet Sonic:The compact Chevrolet Sonic navigation feature, GoGo Linklets you replicate a smartphone navigation app on the car's LCD display. You just buy a $50 navi app. This is how all cheap cars should handle navigation if they can't (won't) sell navi for under $500. It's also on the subcompact Chevrolet Spark, a less compelling vehicle.
Ford Flex:It's the same Ford Sync (Bluetooth, USB) and MyFord Touch (touchscreen) as the rest of Ford's line, meaning it works well once you read the manual and then practice. Other than a stretched Mercedes or Audi full size sedan, nothing else has this kind of business class legroom in the rear seat. For cross country cruising comfort for four adults, the Flex is better than any SUV offers.
Ford Fusion Hybrid: The current design of the Ford Fusion hybridis no longer boxy and the hybrid system gets 40 mpg or better, probably better than the smaller Ford C Max Hybrid with the same drivetrain. The battery pack doesn't take up much room. This midsize sedan offers a full suite of driver tech: adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, lane depature warning, and active (parallel) parking assist. Plus Ford Sync.
Honda Accord. Instead of blind spot detecting electronic sensors on the left and right, the rear facing Lane Watch camera tracks the passenger side view, only, displaying it on the center stack LCD, with distance lanes,
super cheap jerseys, so you can judge the blind spot yourself. For the left side blind spot, you'll have to look in the mirror. The car itself is solid, reliable, and economical.
Honda Civic. The Honda Civicis a solid compact car, especially after a rush redesign of the last redesign that was too blah. The upper deck of instruments at the base of the windshield with speedometer and navigation prompts is an effective alternative to a head up display. It has all the virtues, efficiency and excitement of the Accord in a smaller package.
Honda Odyssey. For most people who need to haul 5 7 passengers, you should be buying a minivan, not an SUV. But the soccer mom stigma lives on; no one notices if five kids with cleats pile out of an Escalade. The Honda Odyssey options scheme means you're looking at $45K fully equipped, including a 16 inch rear seat entertainment display and a built in shop vac. That aside, it's roomier than every SUV.
Nissan Rogue. The Nissan Rogue features, like surround view cameras and tires that chirp when you've added the right amount of air, have made it down to the cute ute (small SUV) segment. The $1,400 premium package makes this a nice cruiser for young families: navigation, surround cameras, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, and moving object detection of kids, pets and strollers moving behind the car. Most buyers will notice a non tech difference: The Rogue got more luxurious with features like the so called zero gravity seats and soft touch trim. The best engine, the six cylinder turbodiesel, is also the most efficient and the cheapest. Go overboard on options and your $65K cruiser tops $100K.
Toyota Prius. Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive works so well that this is really a compact car that gets 50 mpg city and, oh by the way, it's a hybrid. Toyota offers the Prius with high tech options such as adaptive cruise control for buyers who want to spend more.

Tagged In2014 Mercedes Benz S Class is my type of sedan. I have to wait to buy it however since the price with sales tax is around $130K! But the car price will eventually go do to my affordability level and bang I am driving the 2014 Mercedes Benz S Class! But I learn from having BMW 7s and Audi A8s the repair are the killer! $5K is average budget for maintenance on these cars! I mean average too since I had a high of $12K for a transmission repair on my A8! Insurance is not that bad on a 6 year old car close to that of a new Honda Accord with full coverage. LOL!
