ROCK HILL: Police: Rock Hill man stabbed after argument over pasta sauce
ROCK HILL An argument over whether pasta sauce was fully cooked led to a stabbing and a Rock Hill woman s arrest Saturday before the dinner was eaten, according to police reports.
Sarah Ivery, 51, of Rock Hill was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. She remains jailed at the York County detention center under a $17,500 bond, jail officials said.
In the incident Saturday evening on Arch Street in Rock Hill, the 46-year-old male victim, who lives with Ivery according to the report, had been stabbed in the abdomen. Ivery told police that she and the victim started fighting after he began to eat pasta before it was ready. Ivery claimed that the victim put his hands around her neck and pushed her to the ground before they both fell to the floor.
The victim was stabbed accidentally because Ivery was holding a kitchen knife in her hand when the two tumbled two the ground in the fracas, Ivery told police.
However, no injuries were found to Ivery, the report states.
