July 17, 2014By So TMZ wants you to think that Tim McGraw “ferociously slapped” a female fan during his sold-out concert at Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood last Sunday.In a newer video posted by the site, it seems pretty clear that McGraw, as he high-fived fans along a catwalk, was being groped by a fan and blindly reached into the crowd as he tried to prevent his jeans from being shredded. The fan is then seen being escorted out by security.McGraw’s reps provided this explanation, which, again, seems apparent if you actually watch the video:“At the end of the night during the encore, Tim was singing out in the audience and someone firmly grabbed onto his leg and wouldn't let go as he was moving through the crowd. He instinctively swatted to try and keep them from ripping his jeans (which they succeeded at doing!), and so he could get to more fans who were trying to slap hands with him before the end of the show. He didn't know who had grabbed him and was simply trying to keep his jeans from being torn.” Unfortunately your browser does not support IFrames.I was out of town and missed the show, but by all accounts, McGraw played a solid, energized set.
