A boy was hit by a car while riding a bike Wednesday afternoon in Northwest Spokane.
The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. near the intersection of Nettleton Street and Liberty Avenue, according to the Spokane Police Department.
The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was listed in critical condition initially, but his condition was upgraded an hour or two later, the police said. The boy was talking to paramedics during the trip to the hospital.
