Inland Empire 66ers (LAA) at the Lancaster JetHawks
20 MPH wind out to CF for a day game at Lancaster. Joe Musgrove says "no problem." He recorded 9 Ks and 7 groundouts. That's 15 of his 18 outs. Reymin Guduan and Frederick Tiburcio followed Musgrove's lead and combined to pitch 3 innings with 4 Ks. This was just a dominant pitching performance all around.
Brett "Maverick" Phillips led the charge offensively with 4 hits including a 2B and a HR. AJ Reed wasn't far behind Phillips adding 3 hits of his own. Reed's average has crept all the way up to .293. AJ Reed's May has been ridiculous. He's slashed .359/.434/.707 for an OPS of 1.140.
If there are 2 guys that are not only knocking but pounding on the door to AA, it's Musgrove and Phillips. 2 straight months of "mastery" by both of these guys warrants a promotion. The dominoes may be starting to fall with the outright release of Telvin Nash at Corpus.
JetHawks win 10-2. Their record climbs back over .500 to 23-22.相关的主题文章:
