Renowned architect Henry B. Hoover, who helped initiate the American Modernist home-design movement, built this Modern-style home overlooking the Cambridge Reservoir in 1937. Hoover passed away in 1989, and this is the first time in 80 years that the home, known as the Hoover House, will be available to the public. The home comes with a preservation easement with Historic New England that limits how new owners can alter the property.
Located at 154 Trapelo Road in Lincoln, the home is listed for $1.1 million and offers three bedrooms, two full baths, and 2,463 square feet of interior space.
A tour of the Hoover House will be conducted on Sunday, May 31 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Tickets are limited. For more information, go to
