The Italian is to be let go by . Should make a move?

have confirmed they are searching for a new manager this summer, with Sam Allardyce set to leave when his contract expires.
They may have just been handed the perfect option on a silver platter.
Schalke 04 have sacked their boss .
Just moments before Allardyce was confirmed as on his way by , Schalke's news broke.
It has been reported by after less than a year in the job. He was appointed last October, to take over from Jens Keller, and charged with getting the team into the Champions League.
However they have finished the season in sixth place after a defeat to Hamburg yesterday.
Di Matteo is of course already a legend at Chelsea, both as a player and particularly a manager. Prior to taking the job with Schalke Di Matteo had led Chelsea to a long-awaited Champions League win - something Jose Mourinho has still failed to produce at Stamford Bridge.
He also has previous with MK Dons and West Brom, so is experienced in English football management.
West Ham are certain to be linked in the near future and they would be right to make a move.
Would you like Di Matteo at West Ham?
