The suspect tries to lunge at several officers who order him to stay back. The man then tries to chase some other offers who are forced to retreat behind a white Volkswagen Golf.

The man dropped the weapon and held his chest with both hands as the officers approached to make the arrest.
The man is carried by several officers to a waiting police van and taken away to hospital. 
According to the Metropolitan Police: 'After a short foot chase by officers the man stopped and turned on officers armed with a metal implement.
'Officers withdrew and deployed CS spray to detain him but this had no effect on the man. Subsequently a TASER was deployed by an officer and the man was detained and arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and attempted murder.'
The Met confirmed that the 26-year-old suspect was taken by officers to an east London hospital 'as a precaution',http://www.hemsedalturbusser.no/sidebar.asp?Klubbdrakter-2014-15-263/Manchester-United-287, where was later discharged. 
He was then taken in custody to a north London police station where he is being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder and attempted burglary. 
Police confirmed that none of their officers were seriously injured or required treatment in hospital.

The suspect was taken by police to an east London hospital where he was assessed by doctors
