Rain has ended across the area and some rapid clearing is occurring south to north.
Much of the area is reporting .25”-.50” of new rain from last nights storms. We still remain in an active period with scattered showers expected each afternoon through the Memorial Day weekend.
Today expect some sunshine mixed with clouds in the afternoon and a possible shower or two. Temperatures will be much warmer today with most locations on the plains making it into the 60's and the 70's.
If you are planning outdoor activities this weekend it may be a good idea to prepare for showers and storms especially during the afternoon and evening hours. Saturday looks mostly dry with a better chance of thunderstorms in El Paso County and the extreme SE portion of Colorado. Temperatures should warm a few degrees more that Friday and settle in the mid to upper 60's and 70's in our area.
Sunday we again see increased chances for rain and much cooler temperatures that should keep us lock into the upper 50's and 60's.
Monday again expect a few scattered showers through the afternoon and evening with temperatures in the 60's and 70's.
Snow mainly occurring above 10,000 feet this weekend with significant accumulations expected at these high elevations.
