Charlottesville, (Va.) Moose's by the Creek helped organize a fundraiser on Saturday for two organizations that give service to abused families & shelters for help in emergency.
The fundraiser was a full days event, starting with a family carnival in the restaurants parking area. The restaurant had a dunk tank, corn hole tournaments, raffles, a police cruiser for kids and a live disc jockey.
In the evening they hosted a concert at the Paramount featuring a performance by the band 'Betty.'
The restaurant owner says she just wants to give back to a community that has done so much for her and her family.
"We just we love giving back, people have been so accepting and so gracious to us," said Melinda "moose" Stargell, owner of Moose's by the Creek, "I mean we never expected the response that we've had, when we opened this restaurant we knew we would do well, but it's been over whelming, people have been very supportive to us and we just want to give back."
Stargell and the people close to her are no strangers to fundraising and charity collaborations. Stargell says they often look for new ways to reach out to the community.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from Saturday will go to the fundraiser causes.相关的主题文章:
