After having our third son, there were a lot of things we said we would do differently. From pacifier usage, to room sharing, to bedtimes – there were a lot of things we planned to adjust or change this time around.Apparently trying to get things right the second (or third or fourth) time is a common thought process. One reader told me that by the time they got to the fifth child they basically let the other ones raise him since they had played the “this time around we won’t…” game so many times themselves.That’s not really an option in our case though, since the oldest is 3 and believes cookies are a food group and his right hand man is the 2-year-old who repeatedly picks up live fire ants and brings them to me.
