When you play the game of thrones, you sing or you die.
Coldplay, NBC, and the cast of Game of Thrones have teamed up to make a pretty hilarious musical version of the hit HBO fantasy drama. Or rather, a “making-of” style mockumentary as part of a larger charity effort.
It’s pretty entertaining to watch a spirited acoustic trio with Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon,) Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen,) and Myranda (Charlotte Hope,) or listen to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lanister) sing the first “romantic incest ballad” of Coldplay’s career.
Emilia Clark (Danaerys Targaryen) actually has a pretty nice singing voice, we discover, as she sings a reggae-stylee jam about the Khaleesi. Meanwhile, Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) is a natural on the mic, singing a Wild Thing rendition with lyric changes you should be able to guess, while winking goofily at Rose Leslie (Ygritte.)
The entire thing was done as part of, yesterday’s effort to raise money to fight childhood poverty.

It’s a shame so many people have given up Game of Thrones . I suppose they’ll be missing out on this much-needed comic relief. Designed to help needy children.
Oh well.
This is the funniest Game of Thrones spoof I’ve seen since Kit Harrington crashed Seth Myer’s dinner party.
