COMMENTEMAILMOREA Bear family of six was hospitalized early Wednesday after suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
New Castle County paramedics and ambulances from Christiana and Delaware City fire companies responded at 12:22 a.m. to the first block of Topaz Drive in the Woodland Trail neighborhood off Bear Christiana Road north of Pulaski Highway (U.S. 40).
The initial call was for possible carbon monoxide exposure, paramedic Cpl. Abigail E. Haas said.
Paramedics treated four adults and two children at the scene for carbon monoxide poisoning symptoms, Haas said.
The 61-year-old man, 53-year-old woman,

All were transported to Christiana Hospital.
STORY:
Paramedics urged county residents to be familiar with the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning which can include headache, blurred vision,

Because the potentially deadly gas is colorless and odorless, paramedics said,
