ROCK HILL: Police: Rock Hill home invasion suspect arrested after shoplifting at Walmart
ROCK HILL The second of five alleged robbers to break into a Rock Hill couple s apartment last month, put a gun at a man s head and force a woman to hand over money was arrested Thursday after authorities say she and another woman shoplifted children s clothing from Walmart.
On July 21, a man and woman reported that five people kicked in the back door of their Booker Washington Street apartment and robbed them at gunpoint, according to a Rock Hill police report. One of the men put a shotgun to the male victim's head and made him stay on the couch while another robber put a pistol to a woman's head and yelled, "where is the money," the report states. The woman walked to the kitchen with the gun to her head and gave the robbers all the money she had.
The robbers ordered her to the couch and then they ran out the back door. The robbers had black bandanas around their faces, but the woman was able to identify Laderris Tyrell Robinson, 25, as one of the suspects. He was arrested on July 24 during a traffic stop and charged with armed robbery, burglary, unlawful carrying of a pistol and criminal conspiracy. The next day, police issued warrants for Donna Marie White, 22, in connection with the incident.
She remained at large until Thursday when police were called to the Newport Walmart for a shoplifting incident, according to Rock Hill police documents. A loss prevention manager told authorities he witnessed two people steal clothing and leave the store through the garden center before they got into a black Pontiac Sedan and went toward S.C. 901. Police stopped the car on Heckle Boulevard,Ray Ban Wayfarer Prescription, finding three pairs of children s Wrangler pants in the back seat with the tags removed. The manager identified the passengers as the shoplifting suspects. White and another woman were arrested, and White was later connected to the robbery.
White has been charged with shoplifting, armed robbery, burglary and criminal conspiracy. By Friday afternoon, she was being held at the Rock Hill jail on a $65,000 bond.
