Earlier the court heard how Knight began behaving 'inappropriately' towards Dr Aston when she was his GP in 2007.
She was granted a restraining order which prevented him from contacting her, but the 74-year-old flouted it repeatedly.

After avoiding jail several times he was put behind bars in 2013 by Judge Tabor. At the time he expressed remorse Dr Aston had not been given 'the protection she needs'.

But jailing the man, Judge Tabor rejected the notion he could be cured of his health problems.
'In short, nothing is going to stop you. You are said to be suffering from Erotomania and narcissism. Attempts to treat you have been unsuccessful. Apparently you have the belief that this lady loves you.
'I find that difficult to reconcile with the most recent messages you sent her which were hateful, frightening and designed to terrify.
'For a period of six years now you have conducted a campaign not of love and affection but one in which you sought to terrorise her - successfully.
'And nothing will stop you. You committed these offences within six months of being released from your last sentence.
'You were quietly working your way up, no doubt, to going and seeing her and terrifying her further.'
He added he had 'deprived the country of a first class GP' and put 'enormous pressure' on her own family life.
