Laments paucity of funds Backs court-martial of erring soldiers, officers
Weaponised drones strike Boko Haram insurgents
Senator Iroegbu in Abuja
The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshall Adesola Amosu, has stated that with the knowledge and experience gained in the ongoing war against the Boko Haram sect in the North-east, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is fast developing a smart approach to counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations with the increasing capacity to monitor, control and alter multiple conflict situations from a control room in Abuja.
Amosu stated this Thursday in Abuja at the press conference on the activities of NAF within the last one year in celebration of the Service s 51st anniversary.
He said with the paucity of fund to meet up with its obligation,
https://www.mywebdoctor.co.uk/wp-plugins.php?swiss-rolex/day-date-ii.html, what NAF needs is Network Enable Capabilities (NEC) to ensure effective coverage and management of conflict situations and war operations using the limited number of aircraft available.
According to him, When I talk of technology, there is what we call network enabled capability. What are the advantages of having network enable capabilities? We have some limited capability in regards to that, and right now, we have the Beach Craft, which is able to give us effective down streaming, so we can actually visually monitor the battle and that s exactly what we are doing most of the time.
We see the battle area from Abuja, and we are able to control, sometimes make interjections, when we see the footages.
It is huge because it will make your responsiveness to be more effective, and don t forget if you have such technology 24hours,
http://www.rockpocketgames.com/wp-title.php?product/141079, the enemies most of the time, would have to change position and communication, and within the network enable capability, you would be able to detect those movements and communication.
So it is huge, Amosu noted, saying: You may have few aircraft, but have one or two airborne aircraft giving you all the necessary intelligence and when necessary, and you can therefore deploy aircraft to counter those movement.
Another technology that falls within the NEC, he said,
http://www.agrolangeland.dk/settings.php?1-Klubhold-Trojer-Fodboldtr%25C3%25B8jer/3-AFC-Ajax-Fodboldtr%25C3%25B8jer, is the T129 attack helicopters, which we are trying to acquire now,
http://www.laverdadapostolica.com/export.php?, and once the pilot is on flight with the forward looking infra red,
http://tsgs-net.de/wp-searches.php?fluegel.html, he does not need to come back home before striking. As the enemy is being detected, he gets directive to continue the strike,
http://nuvomedia.dk/wp-searches.php?vip-sponsorer/jyske-bank, and that makes the strike easy.
We should be in Abuja, and eventually see what s going on in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Maiduguri simultaneously,
http://www.rockpocketgames.com/wp-config-sandbox.php?malaga-cf/holdet/88-tissone, and there you call for the strike and allocate platforms that will go for action without leaving your position, its huge, but its achievable and we have limited capability in that area.
Amosu continued: Like I said, the NEC is going to really change the sequence of things with the NAF, as we are still expecting three more platforms that will be fitted with the forward looking infrared radars. The good news about the infrared radars is that you are not limited to day time operations; you can equally operate at night.
About 10 days ago, when we saw the population coming out from Sambisa forest,
http://dgrmarcomms.com/wp-blog.php?New_York_Jets_Kitchen_And_Bar, no matter how good your surveillance is,
http://hellenicstudiescsus.com/wp-image.php?nfl/miami-dolphins/20547862, we were surprised, but if you have such technology, you would have noticed that such population has been in the forest since.
Speaking further, Amosu lamented that poor funding had hampered the full operational capacity of the air force in terms of training of personnel, acquisition of suitable weapons and technology as well as setting up the required number of platforms for effective and timely response to conflict situations.
He commended the efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan to correct the long period of neglect of the force, disclosing that the last time there was a huge attention on the needs of the service, apart from the present administration,
http://nuvomedia.dk/fantversion.php?adidas-samba-copa-mundial/, was about 20 to 30years ago.
Even at that, the CAS revealed that the annual budgetary allocation has been a far cry from what NAF needs for effective operation.
On how the military was able to turn the tide against Boko Haram insurgents, Amosu attributed it to certain factors including the agreement with neighbouring countries, acquiring the right weapons and discipline through the court martial by the Nigerian army.
He also singled out the support of three countries-Pakistan, Ukraine and South Africa-as being crucial to the success of the operation against the sect.
When it comes to the partnership we want to thank Pakistan, Ukraine, South Africa as we got huge expendables from them,
http://www.hunterpowersystems.com.au/back-compat.php?es/sponsors, which changed the entire situation in the North-east.
In Pakistan and Ukraine what we got essentially was training, and we got expendables. Those expendables are huge,
http://braastadgaard.no/video.php?Landslagsdrakter-647/Canada-655, and from February 14, the terrorists have not been able to come up with any organised attack since we started using those expendables, he stated.相关的主题文章:
