It definitely helps knowing how myself, Jenko and Toops defend, having that combination already, Cordner said. Cordner was stunned not to receive a call from Daley three weeks ago when he was left out of the Australian team, as well as the Country Origin team during the representative weekend.
He's since joked about it with Ryan Hoffman, who also was left wondering where he stood after missing out on representative honours.
It was a bit of a weird experience, Cordner said. I hadn't had a weekend off in a while. I didn't get any calls. I was a bit unsure but it's all good. I didn't know what to think at the time. I was actually speaking to Hoffy, and he said the same thing. He didn't hear anything as well, so we were having a laugh about it.
Despite the Maroons knowing full well how Jennings and Tupou combine, given their time together at NRL level, Jennings insists they won't have to change their game to keep the Maroons guessing.
