COMMENTEMAILMOREMost of the focus will be on the Detroit Pistons' first-round pick — eighth overall — at the June 25 draft. But don't forget about their second-round pick —38th overall.
The Pistons have had good luck with second-round picks Jonas Jerebko (2009),http://www.bikelane.com.au/wp-rss.php?players/dennis-bergkamp.html, Kyle Singler (2011) and Khris Middleton (2012). Here are a few prospects to keep an eye on:
Kentucky combo guard Andrew Harrison: The 20-year-old played well at the NBA draft combine in Chicago and played in big games during his two years at Kentucky.
2015 NBA draft: Full coverage7 p.m. June 25, ESPNPhotos: Photos: Sharp: Scouting reports: Syracuse center Rakeem Christmas: With the Pistons looking for rim protection, the 6-foot-10 big man also can finish at the rim and is a solid rebounder.
Kansas power forward Cliff Alexander: He came into college with a big-time reputation, but struggled before being declared ineligible by the NCAA in one college season. But he could be worth the risk in the second round.
Cyprus small forward Aleksandar Vezenkov: The left-handed 19-year-old European can really shoot the ball — a skill in high demand that the Pistons desperately need.
French center Mouhammadou Jaiteh: He played well at the NBA draft combine in Chicago. The Pistons are in the market for a backup center and could seek the answer in the draft.
