Roughead accepted 93 carry-over points for a glancing blow while blocking Geelong s Cameron Guthrie in last year s preliminary final. Then when offered a reprimand for his bump on Sydney s Ben McGlynn earlier this year he had to accept a one-week ban and those 64 points because of the preliminary final points. Now he will again be penalised for those lingering points, a situation that will be erased if the AFL Commission accepts Evans new system. The single positive from Roughead accepting a week if charged is he carries only nine points into the finals series.Hodge said on Channel 7 that Coleman Medal leader Roughead was not put off by the match-day report. I don t think so, he kicked five goals and speaking to him afterwards he didn t think there was a lot in it with the contact side of things.
