After the controversies of the London Olympics Australia did their best to let their results do the talking at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
But the reality is they'll have to wait a little longer for the chance to truly silence their knockers.
That opportunity will come at the Pan Pacs on the Gold Coast from August 21-24 where the all-conquering Americans will be waiting.
At least there's some encouraging signs for the Australians.

In Glasgow they easily took top honours,Red Ray Ban Sunglasses, notching 57 medals (19 gold, 21 silver, 17 bronze).
But Australian head coach Jacco Verhaeren knows the true gauge lies ahead,Ray Ban 3343.
"Coming off this meet people are going to be physically and mentally fatigued - that's the challenge we've got," he said.
"I think the sense of reality is there - this (Glasgow) is not a world championships,Ray Ban Sunglasses Sale."
Still, there were plenty of reasons to smile for Verhaeren after his first major meet at the helm.
Cate Campbell spearheaded the world record breaking 4x100m freestyle relay team.
She backed up to equal the world's fastest time of 2014 to hold out little sister Bronte in the 100m final.
Sprint star Bronte Campbell was among the biggest improvers, setting huge PBs in the 50m and 100m freestyle while rising backstroker Josh Beaver was among a host of much-improved rookies - setting seven PBs from eight swims.
But there is still plenty of homework left before tangling with the likes of US greats Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin and Ryan Lochte.
World champions James Magnussen and Christian Sprenger and five-time Delhi gold medallist Alicia Coutts were among those who failed to replicate their times from selection trials, though they suffered from injury and illness complaints.
Australia could point to the fact that they hold the world's top ranking in seven events after the Games.
However all but one of those times, by Thomas Fraser-Holmes in 200m freestyle, were posted prior to the Games.
And it remains to be seen how many still stand after the Americans' Pan Pacs trials from August 6-10 at Irvine, California.
