LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — With Carl Crawford returning from the disabled list, the Dodgers have a jam-packed outfield,Man accused of using company , and if that means Matt Kemp can t play every day, he may want out.
Kemp has always said his preference is to play in center field, but he hasn t played a full game in that position in almost a month.
According to his agent Dave Stewart, Kemp is open for a trade if it allows him to get back to center field on an a daily basis.
“Whatever the Dodgers want to do, we re favorable to as long as it gives him an opportunity to play every day,” said Stewart to FOX Sports. “He d like to eventually go back to center field.”
Manager Don Mattingly removed Kemp from playing center at the end of May after numerous fielding mishaps.
So far, he is batting .269 with 21 doubles,First Australian suicide bomb, eight home runs and 35 RBIs.
Kemp has five years left on a $160 million deal he signed in November 2011.
Potential trade candidates for Kemp could be Phillies pitchers Cole Hamels and/or Jonathan Papelbon.
