The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing affiliate of IMG College, announced Friday that it has signed a 10-year extension of its partnership agreement with East Carolina University (ECU) to continue managing its trademark licensing program. The partnership, which began in 1984, will run through June 30, 2023.
Over the course of the 30-year partnership, the ECU licensing program has experienced tremendous growth,

Much of that growth can be attributed to CLC and ECU working in tandem to grow the business in key North Carolina markets, advance ECU’s Retail Champions Program, and secure the University’s participation in collegiate licensing programs by Hurley, Peter Millar and TOMS.

The partnership gives ECU continued access to CLC’s leading brand protection, brand management and brand development services through a comprehensive trademark licensing program customized by CLC. In addition, ECU will continue to benefit from CLC’s proven licensing services, which allows it to contract with best-in-class licensees that will advance its goals and marketplace position.

ECU is one of seven teams in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) to be represented by CLC. Other AAC teams currently partnering with CLC include University of Central Florida, University of Cincinnati, University of Connecticut, University of South Florida, Tulane University and University of Tulsa.
