List of Different Careers and Jobs
Each person has his or her own criteria about what makes a great job. For some it is the challenge of a job that makes it attractive, while for others it could be the sense of fulfillment that a particular career gives them that draws them to a job. Apart from these factors, most people also look for a high salary, good prospects for growth, chances for professional development and creativity, and stability. Taking all these factors into consideration, the following is a list of some of the fastest growing jobs,http://www.zebrock.net/journal/and/ock.htm, which are expected to be in demand right through to 2014 many of them even beyond.
Computer Software Engineer: Apart from writing computer programs, software engineers also help industries incorporate new technologies efficiently and easily. Computers, of course, are going to continue playing a significant role in all aspects of everyday life well into the future, hence the growth prospects in this field are strong.
Network Systems and Data Communication Analyst: Of course, we all know about the phenomenal growth of the Internet. Their job involves keeping electronic communication systems like the Internet, e mail, and voice mail functioning smoothly. Much of their time is spent evaluating and testing systems like WANs, or wide area networks, LANs, or local area networks, and intranets.
Environmental Engineer: With increasing awareness of environmental issues, and with the increasing prospects of the demand for environmental regulations, this is another field that has huge growth potential well into the future. Environmental engineers are required in recycling efforts, pollution control, and similar public health fields. They also help to design, construct, and operate waste disposal and water supply systems. They are involved in gathering a lot of data for analysis. They find employment in research firms, universities, laboratories, government agencies, consulting firms, and public and private companies.
Electrical and Electronics EngineersEpidemiologist: Epidemiologists are medical scientists who study the transmission and control of epidemic outbreaks in populations. The recent outbreak of SARS is an example of the need for epidemiologists. With populations continuing to grow and the barriers of global travel continuing to diminish, there is an increasing likelihood of virus epidemics breaking out. Then there is also the prospect of some fanatical group carrying out bioterrorist attacks. Hence, the demand for epidemiologists is projected to be very high.
