Describing the car soaking incident, the prosecutor said Hoyle was washing his son's car when he 'deliberately or recklessly at the very least sprayed into the open sports vehicle'.
Mr O'Brien said that on the day in question – May 17 last year - he had moved his Audi from outside his house to the turning circle at the end of the street so he could cut his lawn.

He said: 'As I walked back again I could see Mr Hoyle spraying my car right through with the hosepipe.
'He was spraying his son's car but deliberately spraying it into my car.'
Mr O'Brien said he didn't confront Hoyle but instead phoned police.
The court heard that just before the incident, Hoyle allegedly scratched Mr O'Brien's wife's Astra SRI, possibly with keys.

Further CCTV footage showed Hoyle moving into a car parking space outside Mr O'Brien's house and getting out of his car.
He can then be seen passing by the right side of Melissa O'Brien's silver car and running his hand along it.
It was only days later, when the security firm reviewing the footage alerted Mr O'Brien to it,http://michaelzeki.com/wp-content.php?landsholdstrojer-647, that the faint scratch was noticed.
Mr O'Brien said the damage to his car had cost £1,068 to fix while the faint scratch on his wife's car cost £90 to repair.
Hoyle has pleaded not guilty to one charge of harassment without violence and also faces two allegations of damage.
He moved from the cul-de-sec several months ago and now lives Almondbury, West Yorkshire.
