The Ben Sherman company was founded in 1963 by Arthur Bernard Sugarman who was the son of a Jewish salesman. He immigrated to the United States and married the daughter of a Californian clothes producer. Later he bough his own clothing factory and his brand became famous for being sported by several well known musicians and singers.
