The star, who dated Clooney for two years until 2011, shared the news of her pregnancy on Instagram on May 6.
The Instagram post contained a picture of a pregnant Barbie doll sitting on a note that read: 'We are having a girl!'
Along with the adorable picture message, she added: 'I am so excited to share this moment with you guys .... my husband and I will have a little girl and I couldn't be happier.'
'She will be the boss and we can't wait to see her. Thanks for your love..... Eli and Brian.'

'Now I don't know how to say it. I'm expecting a baby girl! I hope that everything will be fine. Thanks for everything. Thanks for being always so close.'

Elisabetta and Brian tied the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Alghero, Italy in September 2014, and they now currently live together in Los Angeles. 
The brunette beauty was previously engaged to football player Christian Vieri and dated director Gabriele Muccino and Jackass star Steve-O.
Her wedding to 46-year-old Brian came just a week before her most famous ex of all, Clooney, tied the knot to Amal Alamuddin in a highly publicized ceremony in Venice, Italy.
On Monday George was seen with Amal in Tokyo at the premiere of his new film Tomorrowland.
