TOPIC: Victoria's Secret's Josephine Skriver reveals what it's like to be a 'IVF kid'

The notice read: 'Are there any gay couples or gay guys out there who wish to be a dad? Because I’m a single mom and I want to have kids.'
Josephine reveals that several men replied, the first of whom became her father.

A longing to bring a child into the world prompted Josephine's mother (pictured centre, with Josephine on right, and younger brother on left), who was single at the time, to put an advert in a local LGBT magazine
The supermodel, who has walked in catwalk shows for top designers including Valentino, Diane von Furstenberg and Chanel, said she grew up proud of her family but it was only later that she realised that not everyone was accepting of their set-up.
In the video, Josephine reveals that when she went to high school, other children told her how the parental arrangement which felt so normal - her parents by this time both had partners who Josephine referred to as bonus-mom and bonus-dad - was 'weird' and 'different'.
But Josephine says that the worst bullying she has had about her upbringing comes from social media sites like Twitter.

Josephine hit back at Dolce Gabbana's controversial IVF comments by posting this picture of herself as a child on Instagram with the caption; 'I am a child born of love and nothing else. #IAmNotSynthetic #IVF'
She told i-D: 'I just hope that one day the concept of "family" will mean a lot more than the traditional straight couple, with two kids and a house with a white picket fence.
'For me, family is a group of people bound by love! Love is what makes a family!'
She said: 'Social media is where it gets really hard with the hate. It's the one place where people can say whatever they want with no consequences.
'You get so many "that's disgusting", "that's gross", "I feel bad for you", "oh my God I can't even believe it", but it comes from a place I don't understand.
'And what's hard about the internet and social media is that I can't talk back.'相关的主题文章:
