He was 86.
Alicia Nash, 82,http://www.pistolchick.com/wp-content.php?teams/m/monaco/old-monaco-football-shirt-s39337.html, cared for her husband during his darkest hours of mental illness that were chronicled in the movie that won the Best Picture Oscar in 2002. Both were residents of Princeton Junction.
Nash was riding in a taxi along with his wife and was ejected from the vehicle near Exit 8A in Monroe Township, State Police Sgt. Gregory Williams said. Investigators will be determining if the couple was wearing seat belts, he said.
Russell Crowe, who played Nash in the Academy Award winning film, offered his condolences on Twitter:

The accident, which happened around 4:30 p.m., closed southbound lanes at Exit 8A for hours. It happened less than a mile from the car wreck that nearly killed comedian and actor
Nash was born on June 13, 1928, in Bluefield, W.Va.  He most recently was a senior research mathematician at Princeton University. He was the recipient of the 1994 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.

They had a son, John, now 56, who also earned a Ph.D. in math and compelling the Nash family to become advocates for people suffering with mental health issues.
John and Alicia Nash were divorced in 1963 as the stresses of schizophrenia weighed heavily on the family, and his illness became so pronounced that he began to write random formulas on blackboards. He eventually stopped the shock treatments and ceased taking psychiatric medicine, but continued to work at Princeton.
At Princeton, Nash was known as “The Phantom of Fine Hall” because he would scribble random math equations on blackboards,http://www.virtusleadership.com/wp-plugins.php?discount-fake-iwc-cousteau-divers-watches.html, sometimes in the middle of the night.
