An 18-year-old woman faces two charges of public mischief in connection to the futile search for an injured man in Halifax s south end last weekend.
The search began at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday after someone called 911 and using what was believed to be a man s voice reported being injured and needing help.
Police said the caller reported being on Tower Road and they also were able to trace the person s calls to that area.
Police dogs and search and rescue volunteers failed to find anyone and the search was called off late Sunday afternoon.

We were able to narrow down the search area and locate the female and recover the phone.
Officers picked her up behind her home in the 1000 block of Tower Road at 11:30 p.m. Monday.
