One of Halifax s public spaces will be taken over by a wave of dinner guests in white again this year, as Le Diner en Blanc returns to the city on Aug. 22.
About at the University of King s College quad, and more than 1,000 are expected to take part in the second event, the location of which will remain secret until minutes before it begins.
This event allows us to enjoy some of our most prestigious and iconic public spaces in the city with elegance and flair, co-host Stacy O Rourke said in a release.
Diner en Blanc was launched in Paris more than 25 years ago, and now revellers dressed elegantly, and all in white, celebrate it around the world. In Halifax, groups of 100 to 300 will gather at departure points across the city, then converge on the dinner site with their picnic baskets, either on foot or by mode of transport.
For year two we ve searched the city high and low to find a venue that will wow and render this night unique and magical, as well as welcome more guests, said Lindsay Wadden, co-host.
