Police responded to a report of a shooting victim at 4:53 p.m. at the 200 block of N. Harrison St. in Wilmington, city police said.
Police had initially responded to reports of a shooting at 4th and Madison streets, but did not locate a victim or crime scene, city police said. Calls from the residence on Harrison Street came in within moments of the initial reports.
Continuing the investigation, police believe the crime occurred on the 600 block of W. 4th St., less than a half mile from the residence where the victim was located, although official determinations have not been made.
The victim was taken to Christiana Emergency Room in stable condition, although his condition is not known as of Tuesday night, city police said in a statement.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information in reference to this investigation is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Division at (.
