Manager Steve Evans had hoped to keep the duo at the club, with reporting the pair have been offered new deals, when they announced their retained and released list earlier this month.
Evans had said: "I have never hid my admiration for Ben. I have said it before when I arrived here Ben was in the cupboard and no one knew him. Now he is an established, quality player.
"I would love to have both of them as part of my squad."
