Westfield spokeswoman Julia Clarke is keeping details of the development under wraps for the time being.She wouldn t provide a start date but told the Guardian Messenger to expect an announcement in the next couple of weeks.The centre s latest development approval staggers the project s first stage into three parts with the complete project to happen in two main stages. The development approval is active for a five-year period and we expect the project s stages to occur over that time, Ms Clarke said.Marion Mayor Kris Hanna said the redevelopment would provide a welcome boost to the local economy. This has been talked about for years, Mr Hanna said. This expansion will mean more jobs in the area and that s a good thing. The biggest employment for the residents of Marion is the retail sector it s progress. Mr Hanna said council staff would meet with Westfield in June to go over the project s details.The redevelopment was first approved in 2007 but was shelved because of the global financial crisis.Here s how it will take shape:Stage 1The first part would include a 3000sqm expansion of the centre s western end to create a fresh food precinct , the planning application said.相关的主题文章：
