Watches, phones, and tablets galore are all getting fresh batches of software this week. Android 5.1.1 is on the way for various Nexus devices, while smartwatches are getting a bunch of new features thanks to the newest build of Android Wear.
With so much new software on the way, let’s get right to it. Making sure your device is running the latest available software is a good housekeeping practice, ensuring you have the latest features with fewer bugs and gaping security holes.
NexusNexus 4, 5, 7 LTE, 9 LTE: Google’s pure Android devices are all getting bumped up to 5.1.1. An over-the-air update is on the way, or you can head to the to install it yourself. has a lot of new features like better WiFi and Bluetooth controls, and the 5.1.1 boost tackles a lot of bug fixes. 
Android WearLG G Watch, G Watch R, Asus Zenwatch: Android Wear 5.1.1 is no longer an exclusive to the LG Watch Urbane. It’s rolling out to the aforementioned list of watches now.  says the update will be coming in the days ahead, so you may have to be patient. We’re a little perplexed to not see the Moto 360 on the list—we’ll cross our fingers for that to happen soon.
T-MobileNexus 6: Android 5.1.1 is making its way to the T-Mobile edition of the Nexus 6. tweeted, “This is shaping up to be a very Happy Memorial Day weekend...#Nexus6.” So be on the lookout for an over-the-air update between all those barbecues and beverages over the three-day weekend.
Galaxy Tab S 10.5: An over-the-air update is headed your way, bringing Android Lollipop 5.0. The says the update is 1.1GB and requires at least 50 percent battery life.
VerizonLG G Pad 8.3 LTE: Android 5.0.2 is coming to you, giving a first taste of Lollipop. A details all the LG-specific changes, like adding a recents button between the home and menu buttons. Thankfully you can customize this arrangement.

SprintGalaxy Note 4: An over-the-air update is bringing factory reset protection, which requires you to enter a passkey before wiping a device. The also brings various bug fixes. 
HTC One E8: The Lollipop update is finally here. The says you get Android 5.0 and the removal of the Lumen toolbar, which is an annoying piece of bloatware that offers multiple browsers at once.

SonyXperia SL, Z ZTE, Xperia ZR LTE, Xperia Tablet Z: When Sony updates devices it does a huge bundle at once. It’s the same again here, with all four of these devices getting Android Lollipop, according to the  and .
Motorola Moto E (first gen): A soak test is underway for Motorola’s original, near-stock Android budget device. This is the first step in prepping an Android update. The current Moto E was recently, so clearly the last-generation handset isn’t far behind.
